Terms of Use

Updated March 2022

Hi! Glad you found this site. We think it has some pretty great information on it! But there are a few things you should know. Sit back, relax, and read through this page, which lays out the terms and conditions – or rules of the road – for our sites (the “Terms”). Our Privacy Statement (zerodaylaw [dot] com/privacy-statement) is part of these Terms too.

Here Are Our Rules

This page lists the rules and requirements you have to follow if you want to browse www [dot] zerodaylaw [dot] com or any other site we own (“sites”). By the way, “we” or “our” means ZeroDay Law LLC.

Don’t Want To Follow These Rules? Try Another Site

If you read a rule you don’t want to follow, simply (1) close your browser or go to a different site, and (2) don’t come back to visit our sites. It’s nothing personal. There is no shortage of other pages on the Internet and perhaps their rules might suit you.

The Content On The Sites Is Ours (Or We Have Licenses To Use It)

Here’s what you can and can’t do with the content (words, pictures, questionnaires, video clips, functions, widgets) on our sites. You can read, browse, learn from it, print out content for your own personal use, and even reproduce small portions of the content for personal, informational purposes as long as you give ZeroDay Law proper credit and include our disclaimers. You cannot copy content or use it for business purposes, charge anyone for it, revise it to change its meaning or pass it off as your own.

If you want to do something with any words, pictures, video clips, templates, downloads, questionnaires, features, functions or ideas on the sites, give us a shout and we will think about it.

The content on the sites is protected under international copyright laws and ZeroDay Law and its licensors own all rights.

Do No Harm

It should probably go without saying but it doesn’t: please, please don’t ever mess around with the content or functions on the sites. Don’t try to take anything apart, change anything, reverse engineer anything or break or try to break functions on the sites.

Our Sites Are Not Ads

The sites aren’t an advertisement like the high-res, glossy ads or handwritten notes pinned on the corkboard next to you while you stand in line for coffee. Everything on the sites is designed to be general useful information but not attorney advertising. You can read the sites for personal informational purposes.

Not Your Lawyer Just By Visiting The Sites

Are we your lawyer now? Can you get legal advice from the sites? Do you or your company need a lawyer? Nope, nope and we have no idea. Reading our sites does not mean ZeroDay Law LLC is your lawyer. At all. We cannot and don’t offer to provide legal advice to every company or person on the entire Internet just by running our sites.

Would you consider your teeth clean because you read a dentist’s website and wanted her to be your dentist? Probably not. But we don’t know you very well so we’ll say it again: nothing creates an attorney-client relationship by you visiting the sites. In fact, the sites are not a blanket statement to the online world offering to represent every company and person everywhere.

How Can You Get Proper Legal Advice? Not Just By Reading A Website

Just like you shouldn’t rely on your horoscope when making important life decisions, don’t rely on anything on our sites as specific legal advice for you or your company in your particular circumstances. Welcome to today’s daily double! You’ll take “Advice givers” for $400. The clue: “This is the person who can provide your company (or you) legal advice”. The correct answer is “Who is our own (or my own) lawyer?” That’s right! You’ve moved into the lead.

Sometimes Laws Change Faster Than Websites Are Updated

Do you know how quickly the status of a law or legal issue may change? Very quickly! Especially in our line of work. This bears repeating: we do not promise every single piece of information on our sites is current, accurate, complete and directly applies to your (or your company’s) particular situation. Make sense?

You And Your Company Are Unique. Our Other Clients’ Stories May Not Apply

As you sip your coffee and read the helpful information on our sites you will probably come across information about sample cases or projects we worked on previously. Please don’t rely on these either. You don’t know all the details and we don’t want you to rely on that information in deciding something, doing something or avoiding doing something.

Don’t Send Confidential Information Via The Sites

Don’t send us confidential, secret, embarrassing or questionable information via the sites. Remember how we aren’t your lawyer just by visiting our sites? Any information you send via the sites is being sent to not-your-lawyer (us) so (1) it would not be protected under legal privileges, and (2) we wouldn’t be responsible for keeping it confidential. PLEASE just don’t. It’s for your own good.

Those Other Sites We Link To? They’re Not Our Sites.

Our sites might have links to third parties’ websites. That doesn’t mean we endorse or approve of them. We aren’t responsible for content, disputes or viruses you might catch from other sites. Visit them at your own risk and be sure to read their rules as well.
