Nargiz Kazimova is an associate at ZeroDay Law focusing on privacy, AI governance, and data-driven compliance. She advises clients on regulatory and contractual aspects of artificial intelligence, cross-border data transfers, global privacy frameworks, and technology transactions. Her work bridges technology and law, helping organizations align innovation with accountability.

Before joining ZeroDay Law, Nargiz served as an Associate in Research at Duke University School of Law, where she co-authored research on AI data licensing frameworks. She also analyzed global AI regulations across the U.S., EU, and China, with a focus on privacy, cybersecurity, and intellectual property implications.

Earlier in her career, she advised governmental, technology, and international corporate clients on developing privacy laws, digital transformation initiatives, and technology transactions. Her work included drafting national privacy frameworks, digital infrastructure rules, and data protection documentation for large-scale technology projects, as well as advising on M&A, data governance, and IP risks.

Nargiz holds LL.M. degrees from Duke University (as a Duke Law Merit Scholar) and the University of Edinburgh, and she is admitted to the New York Bar and the Azerbaijan Bar Association.

Her publications and speaking engagements span topics including AI, data governance, GDPR and intellectual property. She has also had articles, interviews and webinars featured on SSRN on topics related to privacy and emerging technologies.
